Hugh Grant recalls a cooking mishap with his family
The Bridget Jones actor in an interview with British Vogue magazine, recalled that he gave his family "worms" after undercooking a meal.
The 64-year-old actor quipped that he recently embraced a newfound passion and "started cooking for the first time" in his life.
The Heretic star, who was giving interview with Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy? costar Renée Zellweger began, “I can’t stop barbecuing. Can’t stop buying barbecue equipment.”
The Unfrosted star then added, “And now that it’s winter, I’ve moved indoors and I can’t stop buying Le Creuset.”
However, his costar insisted that "it’s beautiful stuff", to which, the actor admitted things haven't entirely gone to plan.
Grant joked, “I’ve poisoned my family twice, given them worms.”
The actor, who appeared in Timothée Chalamet starrer Wonka, then explained, “Undercooked chicken. Twice.”
“It was dark, you see,” Grant said, adding, “It was on the barbecue and I stuck my Heston Blumenthal prod into it.”
Before concluding, Hugh Grant added, “I couldn’t quite read it. So I served it out – worms all round. And the children now beg me not to cook.”
The actors will soon star in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, a quadrilogy to Bridget Jones film series.
It is scheduled to be released in theaters on 14 February 2025.
