Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan called and congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on becoming the Prime Minister for the second time.
President Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on becoming the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Turkish President also expressed confidence in Shahbaz Sharif's ability to lead Pakistan on the path of development.
The Turkish President said that he was happy with the election of Shahbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister. Pakistan and Turkey will work together for development.
On this occasion, newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he welcomes the congratulatory sentiments of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Tayyip Erdoğan has always supported Pakistan's position on the Kashmir issue and has condemned the incidents of terrorism in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the importance of brotherly relations between the two countries.
It should be noted that for the election of the Prime Minister yesterday, there was a contest between PML-N and People's Party candidate Shehbaz Sharif and Sunni Ittehad Council's Omar Ayub. Shahbaz Sharif got 201 votes while Umar Ayub got only 92 votes.
Thus, Shahbaz Sharif was elected as the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the second time.
