Russia and China will install nuclear power units on the moon.
According to Turkey's TRT News, the head of Russia's Federal Space Agency, Roscosmos, Yury Borisov, said at a ceremony held in the capital Moscow that we have signed an agreement with China on joint efforts on the moon. , we have developed a joint venture with China on lunar exploration.
Together with our Chinese counterparts, we are considering a plan to deliver and install a nuclear energy power unit on the lunar surface during 2033-2035.
Borisov has said that robot technology will be used for the installation of the said power unit.
It should be noted that a memorandum of understanding was signed between Roscosmos and the China National Space Agency (CNSA) in 2021 to establish a joint station for lunar exploration.
