There has been significant progress in the matter of distribution of the property of former Nawab of Bahawalpur and the head of the implementation committee has directed DPO Bahawalpur and MD Cholistan Development Authority to give immediate possession to the heirs. prevented the police from taking any illegal actions.



Regarding the distribution of the property of former Nawab of Bahawalpur, Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V, an implementation committee was established by the government of Pakistan under the chairmanship of Justice (R) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar. The Development Authority has been directed to give immediate possession of 6667 acres of land to the 23 heirs, and DPO Bahawalpur has been directed to fully assist MD Cholistan in this matter, the Ministry of State and Frontier Regions said. In the post, orders have been issued to the members of the committee to immediately follow the orders of Justice (R) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar.

On the other hand, several Cholistanis affected by these decisions have given a written application to the Regional Police Officer, in which they say that they bought lands in Shikargah years ago from the heirs of former Nawab of Bahawalpur and settled them and for twenty or thirty years. They have legal possession of these lands and that land is their property, but now they are being evicted by the police from their rightful possessions by making them illegal occupants.

 In the petition, the RPO Bahawalpur has been requested to provide protection to their owned land and to prevent the concerned police from illegally evicting them from their owned land, on which the RPO has instructed DSP Yazaman. While saying that no party or individual should be harassed illegally in any way.
