Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Raja Basharat has said that Air Ambulance project in Punjab was of Pervez Elahi.
In one of his statements, Raja Basharat reacted to the launch of air ambulance service in the province by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. He said that this project was not the initiative of Maryam Nawaz but former Chief Minister Pervez Elahi.
He said that work on the project was started in 2003, an ambulance helitower was also constructed at Mayo Hospital Lahore. The Shehbaz Sharif government had stopped the work on this project.
The PTI leader further said that work on the project was resumed during the PTI regime. An agreement was also reached to get an air ambulance from a friendly country.
