Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who won the election from the constituency 6 times, boycotted the Murree meeting

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who won the NA-51 seat of the National Assembly 6 times in a row in the general elections of Pakistan, boycotted the Murree meeting of the Muslim League-N.

The dissident leader of Muslim League (N) and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has boycotted the big public gathering of PML-N in Murree on Monday afternoon. They will not even cast their vote on Thursday in the 2024 general election.

Sources say that Shahid Khaqan is going to America, he will stay in UK before reaching America.

It should be noted that the League leadership had a big power show in Murree yesterday in which Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Maryam Aurangzeb and other leaders addressed. On this occasion, Shahid Khaqan, Nawaz Sharif's long-time associate, did not attend the meeting despite being invited.

Shahid Khaqan was invited by League leader Pervez Rasheed to attend the Murree Jalsa a day before. In a conversation with the media, he said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should come and thank the people and leadership of his constituency in the meeting.

It should be noted that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been winning elections from constituency NA-51 from 1988 to 2013. During this time, only in the 2002 general elections, he had to face defeat against the candidate of the People's Party, Ghulam Murtaza Sati.

After the disagreement between Shahid Khaqan and the leadership of PML-N, the young politician Raja Osama Ashfaq Sarwar has been given the ticket for the National Assembly seat from NA-51 constituency.
