MQM Pakistan rejected the offer to be part of the federal cabinet
Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQMP) rejected the offer to be part of the federal cabinet.
MQM-Pakistan decided to give Prime Ministerial vote to PML-N but refused to join the federal cabinet, PML-N had offered federal ministries to MQM at the centre.
According to MQM Pakistan, they want support on the constitutional amendment to give financial and administrative autonomy to the local bodies across the country, the 18th amendment will be further strengthened by the strong financial autonomous local bodies.
The Speaker is ready to vote for the National Assembly and the Prime Minister while the Chairman is not willing to vote for the election of the Senate and the President. Talks are going on with QM, the issues will be resolved.
According to sources, PML-N is ready to give only one ministry to MQM, while MQM is demanding four ministries. MQM informed the PML-N about the decision not to be a part of the federal cabinet until the demands are accepted.
Sources of PML-N say that talks with MQM are going on, the issues will be resolved. MQM Speaker is ready to vote in National Assembly and Prime Minister elections but not willing to vote in Chairman Senate and President elections.
