Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Senator Irfan Siddiqui has said that Ishaq Dar will be the finance minister and not the chairman of the Senate.
In a recent statement, the League leader confirmed that former finance minister Ishaq Dar will take over the ministry. People's Party will get the post of Chairman Senate, so the impression that Ishaq Dar will be Chairman Senate will be wrong.
Irfan Siddiqui said that Ishaq Dar will retire from the Senate in March 2024 and is expected to be re-elected to the Upper House.
He said that every policy decision in the party or the decision to form the federal government or the government in Punjab is being made by the will of Nawaz Sharif.
It should be noted that Ishaq Dar has held the post of Finance Minister in 1998, 2008, 2013 and 2022. This will be the fifth time that Ishaq Dar will hold the post.
