8.5 inches of record snowfall in Malika Kohsar Murree, cold intensity intensified

The first snowfall of winter in Malika Kohsar added four moons to the beauty of the valley, with Murree recording 8.5 inches of snowfall yesterday.



Murree received more than 8.5 inches of snow during the season's first snowfall, after which a large number of tourists flocked to Murree to enjoy the weather.

Yesterday, during the snowfall, 4 thousand vehicles entered Murree and more than 1800 exited. Monitoring of the highways is going on through the control room of Murree on behalf of the district administration.


The traffic system on the highways was severely affected till Wednesday and Thursday night due to snowfall and slippage. Murree entry for tourists from 17 Mile and other entry points was also closed overnight.
