Ex-chairman PTI did not send cipher back to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, detailed court decision
The Official Secrets Act court issued a detailed verdict in the cipher case against PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The 77-page detailed judgment was issued by Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain. In which the court has said that the detailed judgment of the cipher case consists of 20 findings, the findings include the importance of ciphers, eyewitnesses and secret documents.
The verdict has said that founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi requested for fair trial by improper procedure, both criminals created self-inflicted problems, tried to be helpless and helpful to get sympathy.
The court further said in the judgment that the findings stated that the right to a fair trial was not for the sly accused, Cypher used it for himself which had the effect of violating his oath as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The issue affected relations with other countries which benefited the enemies.
The court says that the ex-chairman of PTI did not send the cipher back to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two criminals behaved inappropriately during the court proceedings, the accused threw the files on the walls, the lawyers made a mockery of the law. The verdict said that in 17 months of investigation, the prosecution had proved the cipher case.
It should be noted that on January 30, the special court established in Adiala Jail sentenced PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi to 10 years of hard labor in the cipher case.
