Tokyo's first female governor has expressed good wishes to Saudi Arabia for hosting this event while talking to Arab News Japan.
Tokyo Governor Koike Yuriko said, "I would like to congratulate the state." I hope that Expo 2030 will be very interesting and will take the world by surprise."
After hosting the 2025 event in Osaka, Japan will hand over the Expo baton to Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on the sidelines of the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, Governor Tokyo said he hoped the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh would be a great one.
The lady governor said that Saudi Arabia, the Gulf region and Japan should learn from each other and continue to cooperate to achieve zero carbon and green initiatives.
