Punjab: Consideration of extension of winter vacation till January 7
Due to the severity of the cold weather in Punjab, the School Education Department is considering extending the winter vacation by one more week. It should be noted that the winter vacation in the schools of Punjab started from December 18, which is the next year. It will continue until the beginning.
However, during the last few days, there have been reports that the provincial government may change the schedule for the reopening of schools due to the cold weather.
Punjab government has not taken any decision yet. If the cold weather persists, provincial authorities may consider adjustments to school reopening schedules.
Moreover, the parents have also appealed to the authorities to extend the winter vacation by one more week. He was of the view that some private schools in the province have already changed their schedule.
