Permission to use bicycles and e-scooters in Makkah and Hajj places
In Saudi Arabia, the Royal Commission for Makkah has allowed the use of bicycles and e-scooters in Makkah and the holy shrines (Minna, Muzdalifah and Arafat).
According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the commission has announced an awareness campaign to drive bicycles and e-scooters in congested areas with the aim of providing convenience to people during the Hajj season.
As part of the awareness campaign for the use of bicycles and e-scooters in Makkah and Hajj places, Transport Center met with the officials of Umm Al-Qari University and Kadana Company for Development Affairs to prepare a systematic plan.
The objective and main goal of the campaign is to create awareness among people regarding the use of e-scooters for the Hajj season to promote the use of convenient means of transportation.
