Pakistan Army will provide required and necessary support to the Election Commission in the elections, Corps Commanders

The corps commanders say that the Pakistan Army will provide necessary and necessary support to the Election Commission of Pakistan in the upcoming general elections.



According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the two-day 261st Corps Commanders' Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Nishan Imtiaz (Military).


The participants of the conference paid great tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs, including the officers, jawans, law enforcement agencies and civilians of the armed forces, who laid down their lives to ensure peace and stability in the country.


The participants also recited Fatiha for the martyrs of Dera Ismail Khan attack, including the martyrs of Pakistan.


The Forum expressed deep concern over the continuous oppression and reprehensible violations of human rights by the Indian Army in Occupied Kashmir.


The participants strongly condemned the recent acts of abduction, torture and killing of innocent civilians by the Indian Army.


He said that "these acts are grave crimes against humanity which cannot dampen the spirit of the brave Kashmiris for their legitimate right to self-determination".


"Pakistan will continue to provide all political, moral and diplomatic support to its Kashmiri brothers to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with international laws and UN resolutions."

The forum was also briefed on the situation in the region, challenges to national security and its strategy in response to emerging threats.


The participants of the conference expressed concern regarding safe havens of the banned TTP and other terrorist groups in the neighboring country, operations with freedom from there and availability of modern weapons as a threat to Pakistan's security.


The participants of the conference expressed their determination that "the state will deal with full force against all terrorists, their facilitators and their encouragers who are working on the instructions of hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan".


The Forum expressed full solidarity with the Palestinian people and reiterated the government's position calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict, while condemning the grave human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza.


The Forum also reiterated its support for ongoing efforts to promote socio-economic development and encourage foreign investment under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).


The forum also comprehensively reviewed ongoing operations against hoarding, apart from smuggling, money laundering, power theft and other illegal economic activities.


"Pakistan Army will continue to provide all possible assistance to the concerned government agencies and law enforcement agencies to prevent such crimes".


"Pakistan Army will provide required and necessary support to the Election Commission of Pakistan in the upcoming general elections".


The forum was also briefed on the operational preparations of the formations. The Army Chief stressed on maintaining the standard of professionalism during operations, achieving excellence during training of formations in mental and physical fields.
