Kite Association has announced to celebrate Basant in a new way according to the festival in Rawalpindi city and cantt next year. Main Iqbal, Vice Chairman of Kite Association Rawalpindi Islamabad and Joint Secretary Tree Iqar Mehmood said that with Happy New Year. Kite flying will be started regularly in Rawalpindi city and cantt.

Basant in Rawalpindi cantt will be on February 9 and in Rawalpindi city on February 16, Basant night in cantt will be on February 8 Thursday.

Basant night will continue from sunset to 1 pm while Basant in Rawalpindi city will be on Friday, February 16 and Basant night on Thursday, February 15. White kites will be flown on Basant night, if it rains on Basant day, Basant will be postponed. It will be done next Friday.

There will be no cancellations, aerial firing will also be prohibited, only drums will be used. Preparations for Basant have been started. 35 lakh kites and 15 lakh doors are being arranged for Basant. Rawalpindi will be supplied from Abad, Gujranwala.

Socialmed or contact indoor kites will be delivered to the kite enthusiast's home on order.
