Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq gave a reserved decision on the request to withdraw the appeal.
It should be noted that the Election Commission had given a decision to disqualify the former PTI chairman on October 21, 2022, after which he approached the High Court on October 28, 2022 against the decision.
The former Chairman PTI had filed a request to withdraw the appeal on January 18 as the matter was pending in the Lahore High Court, the court had reserved its decision on September 13 after hearing the arguments of the parties.
