Concerned about the plight of Palestinians, Army Chief General Asim Munir met with the Secretary General of the United Nations

Army Chief General Asim Munir visited the United Nations Headquarters in New York and met with the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.



According to ISPR, the Army Chief informed the Secretary General of the United Nations about the involvement of Tehreek-e-Taliban in the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan and the infiltration of Pakistan from neighboring countries.


General Asim Munir conveyed to the Secretary General his concern regarding the government policy regarding the return of Afghan refugees residing illegally in Pakistan, the Dera Ismail Khan attack, the presence of sophisticated weapons in the possession of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.


All attention is focused on the defense of the country's borders, ready to thwart the evil intentions of the enemy, the Army Chief


The Army Chief expressed concern over the situation in Occupied Kashmir and Gaza and said that the establishment of peace in the region is subject to the implementation of UN resolutions. There should be a solution according to the aspirations of Kashmiris. Peace cannot come to South Asia until the long-standing Kashmir dispute is resolved.

The Army Chief condemned the unilateral Indian efforts to change the status of Occupied Kashmir and said that Indian actions are a violation of the UN Security Council resolutions.
