Barrister Gauhar unopposed Chairman PTI, Umar Ayub elected General Secretary
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was elected unopposed as the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Umar Ayub as General Secretary.
In PTI's intra-party election, none other than Barrister Gohar Ali Khan submitted nomination papers for the chairmanship. Chief Election Commissioner PTI Niazullah Niazi announced the election results.
Chief Election Commissioner Niazullah Niazi says that Ali Amin Gandapur, Tehreek-e-Insaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Yasmin Rashid has been elected as the president of Punjab. Apart from this, Munir Ahmed Baloch has been elected as the President of Balochistan, while Haleem Adil Shaikh has been elected as the President of Sindh.
Security was announced by the police for the PTI intra-party election and the SSP operations themselves supervised the security.
Following the request of the Chief Election Commissioner of PTI, the Election Commission had directed the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to make security arrangements.
