A new record has been set in the election history, 28686 candidates submitted their papers

33% more candidates have filed their nomination papers in 2024 election as compared to 2018 general election.



A record 28,686 candidates have submitted their papers for a total of 859 reserved general seats for the general elections to be held early next year.

In the 2018 elections, 21,425 candidates submitted their papers, while in the 2013 general elections, 27,998 candidates submitted their papers.


According to the details obtained from the Election Commission, 7713 candidates have submitted their papers for 266 general seats of the National Assembly.


Interestingly, for the first time, 471 women have submitted their papers for the general seats of the National Assembly.

802 women have submitted their papers for 593 general seats of provincial assemblies.


A total of 18546 candidates have submitted their papers for all the general seats of the provincial assemblies.


According to the information received by the investigation team, 459 women have submitted their papers for the 60 seats reserved for women in the National Assembly.


According to details, 1365 women have submitted their applications for 132 specific seats of provincial assemblies.

150 candidates have submitted their applications to the Election Commission for ten minority seats in the National Assembly.


392 candidates have submitted papers for 24 non-Muslim specific seats of provincial assemblies.


Our investigation team obtained preliminary information from the relevant Election Commission officials of 41 districts, which shows that 2434 candidates supported by Tehreek-e-Insaf in the elections 2024 for 859 general seats of the provincial and national assemblies have won 859 seats of the national and provincial assemblies. They have submitted their nomination papers for the general seats.

Thus, the number of candidates of Tehreek-e-Insaaf is more, on the second place, 2134 candidates supported by Muslim League-N have submitted their papers.


According to further details, 1651 candidates who were supported by PP have submitted their papers.

1478 candidates supported by Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan are also in the fray, but the final information will come only after the scrutiny of the nomination papers.
