"Nawaz Sharif Criticizes Unjust Verdicts and Alleged Conspiracies"
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif delivered a robust condemnation of what he perceived as unjust punishments and conspiracies during a workers' convention in Sialkot. Sharif targeted the judges involved in issuing verdicts against him and questioned the motivations behind the alleged conspiracies.
"Why conspire against us? Why render decisions against us?" questioned Nawaz Sharif, pointing fingers at the "Gang of Five," a group he believes orchestrated his removal, including figures like retired Gen Bajwa, retired Lt Gen Faiz, Imran Khan, Saqib Nisar, and Asif Saeed Khosa.
Despite facing adversity, including imprisonment and exile, Nawaz Sharif underscored his resilience, emphasizing that he never yielded. He expressed discontent over the series of punishments his party endured since 2017 and stressed the importance of drawing lessons from the past to forge a different path for Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif also highlighted the perceived decline in the country since 2017, citing economic indicators like inflation and the depreciation of the rupee. He raised questions about the electoral process in 2018, criticizing the malfunctioning Results Transmission System (RTS), and voiced concerns about the potential impact of leadership changes on Pakistan's culture and society.
Despite the perceived injustice, Nawaz Sharif pledged a commitment to act in the country's interest, cautioning against a recurrence of the challenges faced by Pakistan over the past 70 years.
